Soller

Valldemossa, Deia, Soller – the wild and romantic west coast of Mallorca captivates current stars as well as those from yesteryear. Understandable, because this part of the island offers all the stereotypes of life in Mallorca: manicured stone fincas among orange groves, tall massifs and centuries-old olive trees, plus breathtaking sunsets and deep blue sea views. Michael Douglas and Annie Lennox are just two of the VIPs who own a property on the west coast of Mallorca.

Around Soller: orange groves and the marina

Puerto de Soller and Soller are enjoying attention from more and more international property buyers. No wonder, since these places are situated in an impressive basin against the imposing backdrop of the Tramuntana mountains. A tunnel connects Soller with Palma in just 20 minutes, making the Orange Valley ideal for property buyers looking for a holiday home or permanent residence near the capital.

Anyone who owns a property in Soller, Puerto de Soller or Fornalutx appreciates the region’s originality, tranquillity and excellent nightlife options in the chic port of Puerto de Soller, over which the luxurious Jumeirah hotel towers.

While Soller mainly offers picture-perfect fincas in orange groves and elegantly renovated townhouses, property buyers will also find modern villas with sea views, Mediterranean apartment complexes and avant-garde houses in Puerto de Soller.

The region around Soller is just as popular with German property owners as it is with the British and Scandinavians. The demand is increasing, along with property prices.

Ecovinyassa – the orange farm

Ecovinyassa, an estate on the outskirts of Soller, is definitely worth a visit during winter months. On a tour of the spacious citrus garden, visitors can learn all about organic farming, local orange varieties and taste the fruits that gave the valley its name.

Can Det Olive Mill

Can Det is one of the oldest olive mills still in operation in Mallorca. The facility is very close to Ecovinyassa on the way to Biniaraix. From November to February, liquid gold – olive oil – is still pressed here in line with old traditions. The owners of Can Det enjoy presenting their old machines and sell excellent olive oil on site.

Agapanto Restaurant: With your feet in the sand

At the end of the sandy beach you’ll find the Agapanto restaurant, which serves fine Mediterranean specialities with ecological ingredients from its own garden. Bread is baked on site, the eggs come from the chickens they raise and the fish is all line-caught. The Agapanto restaurant offers live music and a varied menu during summer months, organises celebrations and weddings directly on the beach, and impresses with its excellent cuisine in a prime location.

Lighthouse Es Faro

Hardly any other point in Mallorca can surpass the view from the lighthouse at the top of Puerto de Soller. A small street winds up from the beach to La Muleta and the lighthouse with sufficient parking spaces.
