Americans love Mallorca - which is why United Airlines wants to operate larger aircraft on the route between Palma and New York from 2024. The Boeing 767-400 has around 30 more seats than the Boeing 767-300 and the airline is talking about a 12 percent increase in cargo capacity.

This summer, almost 15,000 tourists used the Palma-New York route, around ten percent more than in the previous year. United Airlines will fly to the island three times a week until 2024, with the first flight departing on May 25 and the last on September 25.
