Anyone flying with Vueling no longer needs to show their ID or boarding pass at Palma de Mallorca Airport. A new facial recognition system for Vueling passengers has been in operation at the airport since yesterday.
Those who use the voluntary and free service can get through the security gates faster and get on the plane quicker because they queue separately.
To be able to use the new technology, you first scan your ID via the Vueling app and take a photo of yourself. This data is also stored for future flights. Minors cannot use the facial recognition system.
