The Balearic Government is considering a level system for the pandemic situation on the islands.
Five levels are planned, according to which the situation and the measures will be classified in the future. According to this, only Formentera is currently in danger level 1 and thus in the lowest level. Menorca is in level 2 and Mallorca as well as Ibiza are currently in danger level 3. If danger level 4 is reached, further measures must be taken to contain the pandemic. In concrete terms, this means that the nightly lockdown will be brought forward from midnight to 10 p.m. in the corresponding regions. The decisive factors are the 14-day incidence, the proportion of people over 65 among those infected, the positivity rate and the capacity utilization of hospitals.
