Just in time for the long weekend, the so-called 3G rule is also introduced on Mallorca.
Thus, as of 04.12.21, only Covid Pass holders will have access to bars and restaurants.
3G in Mallorca means: Vaccinated, recovered or tested. It is not yet known whether a PCR test or a rapid test must be submitted.
The 3G rule is applied in Mallorca in stages. The tier in which a region (island) is located is evaluated according to incidence and hospital occupancy.
At the moment Mallorca is in stage 1.
In this stage, the Covid pass must be presented in bars and restaurants that hold more than 50 people. Smaller establishments are excluded.
In stage two, the 3G rule is extended to tourist accommodation.
In stage three, 3G also applies in gyms, cinemas and dance schools.
Today, the Supreme Court has yet to approve the new regulation. However, it is expected that the new regulation will come into force.
