The Island Council of Mallorca wants to give the green light in the next few days for a new hiking route along Mallorca's coast.
The 285-kilometer route will consist of twelve stages and pass through twelve municipalities. Hikers will pass a total of nine lighthouses, hence the name "Ruta de los Faros".
The starting point of the route will be Cala Agulla in Cala Ratjada, the destination Port d'Andratx. The hiking route passes through the municipalities of Capdepera, Son Servera, Sant Llorenç, Manacor, Felanitx, Santanyí, Ses Salines, Campos, Llucmajor, Palma, Calvià and Andratx.
