In Palma's urban area, speed limits between 30 and 50 km/h have been in force for some time, and on the ring road "Via Cintura" only 80 km/h have been permitted since February 1. This shows that the island capital is serious when it comes to road safety.
In order to control speed compliance, 3 more fixed speed cameras have now been installed on multi-lane roads. Already 6 fixed speed cameras are in operation in Palma. More will surely follow.
Carrer Pascal Ribot: Coming into the city from the La Vileta exit. Here the speed limit is 40 km/h.
Carrer Arrago: 50 km/h is allowed here.
Carrer Pompeu Fabra: At the corner with Carrer Joan Bonet. The maximum speed here is 40 km/h.
