From June 2022, the American airline United Airlines will connect Palma de Mallorca with Newark Liberty Airport 3 times a week.
The direct flights of just over 8 hours are available for booking now.
The route is expected to be served by a Boeing 767-300.
This direct connection will not only bring a new clientele of visitors to Mallorca, but will also be used with pleasure by island residents who until now could only travel quickly to the USA with a stopover via Madrid or Barcelona.
