Distance: 58 km
Duration: 2 hours pure driving time
Route: Santa Maria del Cami - Santa Eugenia - Sencelles - Biniagual - Binissalem - Castell Miguel - Alaró - Santa Maria del Camí
There are about 70 wineries in Mallorca that produce award-winning wines.
In Santa Maria del Camí, the "capital" of wine production, the Bodega Macia Batle takes its visitors on a wine express into the huge fields. After an approximately 2-hour mini-train ride, the journey continues through the lovely hinterland, past numerous vintners, to what is probably the most beautiful wine village on the island: Biniagual is a chic teeny-tiny urbanization that produces one of the best drops of Mallorca. A walk through the flower-filled alleys, surrounding vineyards and a visit to the local bodega are a must.

Via Binnisalem the route leads towards the mountains to the romantic castle of Bodega Castell Miguel, where sounding wines like "Stairway to Heaven" leave the house.
The culinary tour ends with lunch at the rustic restaurant Es Verger, located high above the village. With a view over the wine country, specialties from the wood oven and a good drop, it's SALUD.
Refreshment Tip:
Restaurant Es Verger:
Narrow serpentine driveway, quaint local cuisine with the island's best alioli and house wine, specialties from the huge wood-burning oven in the middle of the dining room, fantastic views of the wine country.
