Free bus and train in Mallorca

This year, residents on Mallorca can use all public transport free of charge. This includes city buses in Palma, intercity buses and trains on the island.

To take advantage of the offer, one must be in possession of the Tarjeta Ciudadana, the citizen card.
This card can be applied for by foreigners with permanent residence in Mallorca at the appropriate offices. For this, the Spanish identity card or the NIE foreigner card with a registration certificate of the municipality must be presented.

BICIPALMA resumes operations

Palma's municipal bike rental service Bicipalma resumed operations last week with 37 stations. More stations will be added, with 85 planned by spring. Then residents and visitors to Palma de Mallorca will have access to around 800 bikes, 240 of which will be e-bikes. The bikes can be unlocked via an app.

New road signs in Spain

Throughout Spain, traffic signs are being replaced, according to the Ministry of the Interior and the Traffic Authority.
Due to changes in mobility, technology and society, new signs are needed. For example, in the future there will be a prohibition sign for e-scooters, signaling that access for e-scooters is prohibited.
